How to select Best Car Audio Systems
The use of amplifiers in the car audio systems is to aims to develop the voice signal arrival from the main source or head unit and then be piped to the speakers.
Amplifier receives a signal from the sound source and conduct it so that the voice signal has more power and drive so that the speaker is able to cast a vote for getting the maximum intake of energy needed in the issue of sound waves.
In Dash Double Din
For the use of car audio systems, commonly known by the type of multi-channel and mono block. Multi-channel amplifier is commonly used to develop the production audio sound signal in the form of electrical current to the speakers (tweeter, middle range, Middle bass speakers or Coaxial)
Type mono block used specifically to develop the signal that will be poured into a subwoofer that positively need a big power (audio sound).
There are any types of amplifiers (audio sound), which is a type class A, B, Ab, D, Hybrid, Tube and each type has its own character, the power production is different, namely:
Class A: Having the best ability to yield good sound quality, but very wasteful of energy and heat faster. Prices for this type are commonly very high-priced depending on its brand.
Class B: Did not create excessive heat and not wasteful of energy, but can yield a pretty good sounds.
Class Ab: It is the most widely used by car audio player, an amplifier composition of class A and B, so it can be more effective and flexible for use in the car audio law and have a good ability of class B.
Class D: This species is the most widely used to drive a subwoofer and used to the concept of Spl (Sound Pressure Level), because the class D amplifier has the power (Watt) are large and able to bear up under 1 ohm, so it can yield a more dynamic bass sound and ordinarily it is the type of class D mono block amplifier.
Class D: This species is the most widely used to drive a subwoofer and used to the concept of Spl (Sound Pressure Level), because the class D amplifier has the large power range (Watt) and able to bear up under 1 ohm, so it can yield a more dynamic bass sound.
Hybrid: In this type, the electronic components of a hybrid amplifier using transistors and tubes. Combinations of these compounds makes this type of amplifier capable to yield thick character sound quality, with good tonal accuracy like a full tube amp, but still be owned by an affordable price.
Tube: This type of amplifier can yield good sound ability with the character of a vowel sound more natural, not thick and stiff / dry, but the type of tube amplifiers, commonly have a very high price for belonging,
With the big contrast in quality, character and components of each type of amplifier, proving that ability amplifier can also rule the character and ability of sound produced in a car audio system.
Before buying the amplifier follows a few tips on choosing amplifiers (audio cars):
Select amplifier with large Rms (watts) and small Thd. Design and materials ability and equipment also must be considered. Adjust power / Rms amplifier with the speaker needs to be used. Power amplifier shall conform to or greater than required speakers, because if the power is smaller than the needs of the speakers, it can cause damage to the speakers used, because of the 'signal clipping'. Select the brand of amplifier that has a formal guarantee from the brand holders Find informations from discrete media or ask a trusted installers car audio amplifier before buying.
Lastly, don't let an amplifier (audio car) is not used in the long terms, because it can cause damage electronic components.

Amplifier Power Ratings
Amplifier power ratings are leading when you decree if an amp will satisfy your system's needs or not. Amp manufacturer has to give out a power specification which clear and complete. Otherwise you are just guessing. An example of a good power amp spec for a 4 channel amp is:
"50watts X 4 Rms all channels driven continuously into 4 ohms with less than 0.1%Thd from 20Hz to 20kHz"
In Dash Double Din
Every part of that spec is meaningful and without any part of it the power rating is meaningless. Amp manufacturers do not give this much information always but you have to decree for yourself either they are hiding anything. Head unit power ratings are preponderant for being very misleading.
The "50watts" part is the one we see first and everything else matters how that "50watts" was measured. Having enough powerfull amp is what most citizen look for. However, other things come into play. If you are going to run a load less than 4 ohms, then the current ability of the amp is leading and most specs do not give a current capability. A power rating into 2 ohms can help though. If the power doubles into 2 ohms then the amp is built strongly enough that it can deliver enough current to drive a 2 ohm load. You may think that this is not leading if you are not going to drive 2 ohm loads but it is important. Speakers (woofers, midranges, tweeters, etc) are not purely resistive. They have capacitive and inductive properties as well. Depending on the music and your setup, the impedance may dip well below 4 ohms for a nominally 4 ohm speaker.
Whether you amp can yield current fast enough to reproduce the music clearly depends partially on the amp's slew rate, its damping factor and its current capability. Because of these these reasons 2 ohm power is leading even when driving 4 ohm speakers. I hope it is clear now that the amount of watts an amp can build is only one thing in determining either an amp is capable of the carrying out you want.
On a last note on this part of the spec, Ic is used by most head units for the built-in amp's output stage. Those chips can´t furnish enough current which is why even most amateurs know not drive subwoofers from a head unit. Real amps often have Ics in them as well but the output stages are approximately every time discrete, meaning they are made from transistors, resistors, capacitors and not integrated together inside tiny Ics.
The "X 4″ means that the amp has 4 output channels. The "Rms" stands for "root mean square" and is a formula of measuring an Ac waveform. Here it means that the power rating is not just a peak rating but continuous. "all channels driven" implies that the power determination was made with all channels driven to their maximum level at the same time. This means that the power furnish is mighty enough to allow all 4 output channels to make 50watts at the same time.
This is a the place where head unit specs "cheat". They leave off the "all channels driven" and quantum only 1 channel at a time which often leads to a higher number. I've seen head units saying "30×4″ which is meaningless but most citizen understand it to mean that the head unit produces 30watts each into 4 channels. That's 120 watts from a head unit. No amp is 100% productive so let us say it draws 150 watts to do this (80% efficiency which is still high). With a 12V power input, the head unit amp's power furnish would be drawing 12.5 amps. I can make sure for you that it is not easy to make a power furnish that fits into a head unit and still leaves enough room for other things for any inexpensive price that can yield that kind of power. That is the conjecture why I say not preferable to use the head unit's power.
Be just with unfinished specs. Even good manufacturers put out incomplete specs and then it is up to you to outline out if the amp is made well or not. Look at the construction and "feel" of the amp as well to make your decision more easy. Also, keep in mind that these explanations are valid for home amplification equipment as well, although the Ftc has more stringent requirements for power claims of home audio equipment.

After-Market V premise suitable iPod Car Kit
A lot of vehicles are now being produced with iPod car kits pre-installed, or the option to buy one from the dealership as part of a package deal. The problem is there are many distinct variations of an iPod car kit. So what is the good option. Facility standard or After-market?
I once heard a customer say they were sold an iPod kit when they purchased a new car from a dealership. It was suggested to him that it was the best option ready for his car & nothing else was comparable. To be fair he was fairly happy with it. It did what he wanted it to do. Any way the customer was seeing colse to & decided to check to see if anyone else was available, just out of interest. He came along to iPod Car Kit Direct and displayed his kit, He was shocked when we told him his iPod kit was a straightforward Aux input. Not that there's anyone wrong with a Aux input, Its like listening through the headphones. Any way we told him we sold them for £5 he was annoyed.
In Dash Double Din
The system he purchased from Facility cost him over £150 for the "kit" and installation, and when we showed him how & where the kit installs into the car he felt rather ripped off.
This is problem when purchasing iPod kits from manufacturers, you may not know what you are getting and how much its costing you in comparison to a contentious product. We know of a lot of dealerships who payment upwards of £3000 for an integrated system. Not a problem if their customers are willing to pay that. Any way contentious and good products are ready for much less.
So how do we define what is the good system?
Well its very difficult, each vehicle and model for that matter have distinct compatibility depending on what's installed in it. With compatibility so varied its difficult to a) offer a comparative product, and b) recommend what features it should have.
However what I can do is tell you about what types of product do what and what you should expect from them.
There are three or four types of product to connect your iPod / iPhone into your car.
Firstly an Aux in, this is a 3.5mm plug into your vehicle. This will not be compatible with all vehicles as a bodily Aux input is required into the stereo its self. (Usually ready on after-market stereos but not commonly on Facility standard) The benefit of the Aux in is that its cheap, costing colse to £5 for the lead. This clarification will basically allow you to listen to your music as you would through the headphones, You cant control your iPod just listen.
Secondly you get Fm Transmitters, these connect to your stereo wirelessly through a preselected Fm frequency. The benefits are that every stereo is compatible so it doesn't matter what car you drive. Any way if you live in built up area's you may struggle to receive a good signal as other frequencies may be picked up at the same time.
Thirdly you can get Fm Modulators, They work on a similar principle to the transmitters with one exception. They are physically hard wired into the stereo. So you receive a much good signal & you can payment you iPod. Any way all music selections must be made from the iPod. Again these kits are universal but you may need an aerial adapter dependant on the type of aerial in your vehicle. Some Volvo's use antennas inside the windows so these aren't compatible.
Fourthly are the integrated kits, These are vehicle specific. The connect into your stereo and allow you to control the iPod / iPhone through the stereo or steering wheel controls. They also offer iPod payment and most offer text display on the heap screen or stereo, Any way this depends on the electronic system used in the vehicle. Most new vehicles use Can bus or Most if this is the case you should receive text in the car. Needles to say the Integrated kits offer the best iPod functionality by far.
So which is best Facility or After-market equipment, there are so many distinct kits out that offer distinct features its too difficult to say. Any way it is worth saying where the after-market leads the Facility spec follows. So make sure you get all the facts from the dealership collate to other products ready on the market and make your mind up from there.
