Is The TomTom Start The Right Sat Nav For Me?

There are so many different sat navs to select from on the shop that it is not surprising that newcomers are bewildered. Fortunately the manufacturers have now recognised this qoute and are producing "graded" models to try and match features with users' expertise. An example of this is the TomTom Start sat nav.

As is suggested by the name, it is designed especially for drivers who haven't yet had the chance to sense the benefits of car navigation, or for occasional drivers. It is built nearby a simplified menu that has only two buttons in the user interface. One is called "plan route" and the other is "browse map". So in this sense it is the excellent entry-level expedient and thanks to the new menu principles it is incredibly easy to plan routes on the tom-tom start.

This sat nav is lightweight and has a compact 3.5 inch screen for easy viewing, day or night. Even population who have never used a sat nav before find it surprisingly intuitive and easy to use. In fact some population don't even bother to read the QuickStart guide. TomTom claims that it understands what women want: simple, intuitive technology which is a joy to use. However, I would say that even experienced "power users" of sat navs will find the convenience and ease of setup to be a convincing feature. Having a load of features is one thing, but when you're in a hurry to get somewhere the joys of hunting up and down straight through a multilevel menu principles start to fade.

So to sass the question, is the TomTom Start the right sat nav for you?, you will need to look carefully at your needs and be honest with yourself when you ask - am I a techie? If the sass is yes then you're probably one of those population who will find the TomTom Start a itsybitsy bit limiting. And one of the models higher up the range will give you a lot more to "play with".

The thorough edition of the TomTom Start comes in black-and-white and only with maps of the Eu. But you could of procedure brighten it up, if you wanted, by purchasing changeable covers which are known as start skins. The usual TomTom features are available - Iq Routes (trademark) technology, Matt share (trademark) technology and the Help Me! accident menu. This latter will give you quick passage to local accident data such as hospitals, roadside aid etc and is available in any area.
